McHenry Baseball Association Bat Rules (effective 11/2017)

Baseball Organizations across the country are adopting new bat standards beginning on September 1, 2017.  As a result of these changes, McHenry Baseball Association will be adopting the new bat guidelines as follows:

* For Spring and Fall 2018 seasons, players will be allowed to use either USSSA 1.15 BFP emblem bats OR the new USA bat emblem bats.  Those players participating in N60/NIASL games will be required to use USA emblem bats only.

* For 2019 and beyond, players will be allowed to use only the new USA bat emblem bats.  

2019 DIVISION SPECIFIC RULES:

Shetland Division:
There are no bat rules, however, big barrel bats are strongly discouraged at this level.


Pinto Division:
Bats must display the USA baseball emblem (see below). Big barrel bats are strongly discouraged at this level.


Mustang Division:
Bats must display the USA baseball emblem (see below).


Bronco Division:
Bats must display the USA baseball emblem OR the BBCOR .50 emblem (see below).
Bats must be no lighter than 10 ounces less than the length (ex. If the length is 31”, the weight shall be no lighter than 21 ounces).


Pony Division:
Bats must display the USA baseball emblem OR the BBCOR .50 emblem (see below).
Bats must be no lighter than 5 ounces less than the length (ex. If the length is 31”, the weight shall be no lighter than 26 ounces).

Note: Wood bats are allowed in all divisions.
